#ThrowbackThursday ~ Leap The Wild Water by Jenny Lloyd #Histfic #BookReview

Many thanks to @CathyRy for this reminder of my first novel, Leap the Wild Water, the writing of which was an absolute joy and will stay with me forever…

Renee at It’s Book Talk began this meme as a way to share old favourites, as well as books that were published over a year ago. Not to mention those that are languishing on the to be read pile for whatever reason.

This week I’m revisiting Leap The Wild Water, a debut and the first book in a historical fiction trilogy, published in 2013.

  1. ‘Leap the Wild Water’ was a wonderful, unique book – moving and wrenching in its true reflection of the position of women in that time. We need more of this – much more! Writing about women in history is your forte, Jenny. Hoping that you are still writing.

    • Thank you, Malla. I’ve been researching for two very different novels. One continues the experiences of women in history theme, the other has a wider social context. Having accidentally been drawn into researching two different stories, I’m now undecided as to which to write first. To bring an end to the procrastination, I may have to write them simultaneously, heaven help me!
